Steam xp to windows 7
This basically means that my games will be taken away from me without a refund for something that is out of my hands. I'm sure there are others that need to use older OS's for compatibility reasons.
I feel that if you purchased a game on Windows 7, you should always be able to use the game on Windows 7. Just so I fully understand, I will always need to update the Windows OS if I want to keep being able to use my games, correct? This is because, at some point Steam will no longer support the current OS. Will I always be able to play that games that are currently in my Steam library regardless of how old they are, if I keep my OS up to date?
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Microsoft won't bother supporting deprecated and non-updated stuff, though. I get the impression that it's the kind of obscure yet indispensable program that people would want to keep working by any means necessary. If I am reading this correctly OP is suggesting that if I decide to run XP because I need it to run some old hardware, Valve should reimburse me for my games, even though I can dual boot or play on another PC? Does that mean when they banned leaded fuel GMH should have refunded me? It won't be a percentages game, I guess it will be shortly after Microsoft "sunsets" 7. As to how to get around this problem, you won't. You could buy some games from a DRM free source, but sadly, not all titles will be available in such a state.
